Het Simulaids Trainingsvest is ontworpen met hulp van de International Association of Fire Fighters (I.A.F.F.) om te ondersteunen bij het testen van de fysieke vaardigheden van brandweerkandidaten. Het vest, de schoudergewichten en Rescue Randy zijn exclusief vereist voor de gevalideerde Candidate Physical Ability Test ontwikkeld door de I.A.F.F./I.A.F.C. The Simulaids Training Vest has been designed with the assistance of the International Association of Fire Fighters (I.A.F. F.) to aid in the physical ability testing of fire department candidates. The vest weighs 50 lbs., simulating the weight of the fire fighter's protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. It is also designed to allow for the addition of two 2-lb. weights on the shoulders to simulate a high-rise pack (hose bundle).
