  • Well-developed male left arm is cast from life with durable silicone skin and flexible wrist
  • Pronounced veins in the antecubital fossa region of the forearm and back of the hand
  • Administer IV injections and infusions
  • Perform intravenous cannulation on the back of the hand or forearm
  • Set up and monitor infusions including application of dressings to secure cannula in place
  • Withdraw blood from closed blood system using syringe or Vacutainer®
  • A realistic sensation is felt when skin and vein are penetrated
  • A realistic "flashback" confirms correct needle location in the vein when withdrawing artificial blood
  • Continuous vein system and 2-bottle sealed blood assembly greatly reduce the risk of leakage
