The Life/form® Injection Belly provides a realistic training tool for teaching proper infusion set insertion and site rotation for insulin pump therapy, as well as practicing subcutaneous self-injection techniques including pen-style injections. The soft abdominal model helps learners understand proper injection placement while avoiding the recommended 2 in. (5 cm) area around the navel.
Constructed with lifelike skin and simulated stomach tissue, the trainer allows users to practice realistic injection techniques. A soft plastic backing prevents needles from passing through the trainer, while ventilation holes allow the material to breathe and dry if liquids are injected during training.
Distilled water may be used for injection practice, although larger volumes will increase drying time. Actual insulin or medications should not be used, as they may damage the material.
