Bleeding amputation moulage designed for tourniquet training with the SMART STAT simulator.
The SMART STAT Amputated Arm is a trauma moulage accessory designed to simulate a severe arm amputation during emergency care training. When used with the SMART STAT simulator, this moulage allows learners to practice tourniquet (TQ) application and hemorrhage control techniques in realistic trauma scenarios.
During training, simulated bleeding continues until a tourniquet is correctly applied. Once proper tourniquet placement is achieved, the bleeding stops, reinforcing correct hemorrhage control technique. Blood flow is controlled by the instructor through the SMART STAT iPad® interface, allowing instructors to manage bleeding responses during the scenario.
