The Denoyer-Geppert's Signature Series Multi-Torso™ is a highly detailed life-size anatomical teaching model designed for comprehensive study of human anatomy. This advanced model features 32 detachable parts and more than 628 hand-numbered anatomical structures, making it ideal for in-depth classroom instruction.
The torso includes three interchangeable pelvic inserts, allowing educators to demonstrate different anatomical configurations. These include a two-part sexless insert, as well as four-part male and four-part female inserts. An attachable mammary gland is also included for additional anatomical study.
Constructed from pliable, unbreakable plastic, the model is hand-painted on both the interior and exterior surfaces in more than 30 colors to clearly distinguish anatomical structures. Several major organs can be removed or dissected, including a four-part brain, two-part heart, two-part stomach, two-part intestines, and two-part bladder.
Additional removable components include the breast plate, major chest muscle, mammary gland, right kidney, liver, lumbar vertebrae, and lungs. The model also features a life-size eyeball with accurate musculature and lacrimal gland for detailed study of eye anatomy.
The model is supplied on a hardwood turntable base and includes an instructional cassette tape that describes 11 anatomical systems, along with review questions and an answer key for the numbered structures.
