The IV / Suture Sleeve and Suture Block are Hyper-Realistic™ training aides that are designed to be utilized in both a controlled classroom and a hands-on practical application field training environment. Recommended training with both allows proper introduction, patient identification, skin preparation of the area to include aseptic technique, and administration of local anesthesia.
The IV / Suture Sleeve and Suture Block are comprised of a proprietary, lifelike skin thatis completely user-repairable and made to fit multiple body types. The IV / Suture Sleeve consists of a protective shield covered by a layer of simulated subdermal tissue to add to the Hyper-Realism and ten lifelike veins that are also user-repairable. When worn, the skin lies over a protective shield that is puncture resistant and allows for full range of motion, IV cannulation, and gives positive user feedback of proper placement by sending flashback into the IV catheter. The Suture Block skin can be utilized to create superficial lacerations and deep tissue lacerations that are capable of being closed by sutures and staples as well as the ability to introduce local anesthesia. The Suture Block is completely repairable.
